Louisville Senator Julie Raque Adams is being accused of violating the state's legislative ethics code by accepting money from her nonprofit political group, Kentucky Strong, which was set up in 2015 to train Republican women to run for office. The complaint also raises concerns about a potential conflict of interest with some of the group's donors, including those of Churchill Downs and LG&E and KU Energy. The Kentucky Democratic Party is urging the ethics commission to investigate whether Sen. Julie Raques Adams violated the law. The senator has not received any information regarding the complaint yet.
