FIFA president 'will do whatever I can' to support Iran playing in World Cup

FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, has stated that Iran will play in the World Cup despite ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Iran is set to play its matches in Los Angeles and Seattle against Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand, but has declined to relocate these matches to Mexico due to the ongoing US bombing campaign. Infantegan suggested that Iran could hold its World Cup training sessions outside of the U.S. President Donald Trump has supported Iran's participation in the tournament, while he does not believe it is appropriate for their safety.
