Jones Byrd, the lawyer representing 21-year-old Yamilet Jimenez-Milian, has expressed surprise at the charges brought against his client in relation to the deadly mass shooting at Leinbach Park in Winston-Salem. Jimenez, who is the sister of 18-year old Daniel Milian, is charged with inciting a riot. Byrd confirmed that two of the teenage girls injured in the shooting are related to the Milian family. He said that while her two sisters are recovering, her family is taking things one step at a time. The other five people charged so far include Joel Gamble-Tolliver, Karissa Gamez and Greidy Mendoza-Soriano.
