3 injured after hybrid vehicle crashes, catches fire in Southeast DC

A vehicle that collided with another vehicle caught fire and injured three people, including two of them in serious condition. The incident occurred at 9th Street and Southern Avenue SE. The fire was extinguished after a hazmat unit was brought in to control. The vehicle's battery component is not believed to be involved.
