A Yerington man, Michael Nettles, was killed in a head-on collision on U.S. 95 Alternate in Lyon County on March 20. The incident occurred when a 2003 Subaru Outback was traveling northbound and a 2020 Chevrolet 2500 pickup was traveling southbound. The Subaru was hit by the Chevrolet pickup, which was redirected onto the opposite side of the road and came to rest on its wheels. The driver of the Subaru was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
