Man convicted of child sex crimes arrested after yet another mistaken release in Pima County

David M. Samaniego Sr. has been arrested after mistakenly being released from the Pima County Adult Detention Complex in Tucson. The PCSD admitted that SamanieGo Sr. was released the day before due to an administrative error. He was originally arrested in Mexico in relation to the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in 2024. His son, also named in the case, was also arrested and charged with sexual conduct with a minor. This is the second mistaken release and escape in the county in recent years.
