The Artemis II crew of the first human moon mission in over 50 years, set to depart from Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida, on April 1 for a historic lunar mission. The crew will be the first astronauts to fly aboard the space agency's Orion capsule, which will be launched from the Space Launch System. They will be joined by the first Black man, the first woman and the first Canadian to fly on a moon mission. As commander, Reid Wiseman, 50, ensures all aspects of the mission work seamlessly, including crew communication, decisions made during spaceflight. Pilot Victor Glover, 49, plays an essential role during Artemis II's ascent and entry, manually piloting the spacecraft and taking charge of flight information.
