Scattered thunderstorms are expected across central Kansas this evening and Sunday, potentially bringing more severe weather to parts of the state. Severe storms are expected to continue throughout the night, capable of large hail and strong winds. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for much of central Kansas until 9 PM, including Wichita. Two rounds of storms are possible on Sunday, with the first expected to occur during the morning through mid afternoon across northern Kansas, with large hail expected to be present. The second round of storms will be expected to produce significant amounts of severe weather, potentially including tornadoes. The weather pattern is expected to remain quiet for the rest of the week, with highs in the 70s expected to stay in the mid-70s.
