North Dakota State women's basketball coach, Jory Collins, has been named the Kay Yow National Coach of the Year. This recognition comes after a record-setting Division I season for the Bison, which saw them win 29-5 and win their first Summit League regular season title. Collins took over from the previous two head coaches with a combined record of 112-211. The award is given to mid-major head coaches who embody a winning spirit while displaying great character. The Bison advanced to their fourth consecutive postseason tournament after reaching the second round of the Women’s Basketball Invitational Tournament.
