The letter, which highlights the increasing pressure on AI companies as their tools become increasingly involved in defense and intelligence operations, was shared exclusively with Axios. Gotheimer expressed concern over the Trump Administration's decision to block Anthropic from all government contracts, which he believes could set us back in our AI race against China. He also highlighted concerns about a Chinese Communist Party-backed group hacking Claude last year and expressed concern about its use in cyberattacks.
