Trump ups threats as deadline approaches
Published on April 7, 2026.
Iranian President Donald Trump has increased his threat against Iran to include all power plants and bridges as his deadline approaches. This comes after Tehran rejected a 45-day ceasefire proposal and expressed its desire for a permanent end to the war. The U.S. has warned Iran to open the crucial Strait of Hormuz to all shipping traffic or face power plants, bridges, and possible war crimes. Israel also killed the head of intelligence for Iran’s Revolutionary Guard, Majid Khademi, and struck three Tehran airports overnight. Despite international warnings, no uprising has been reported in Iran as residents shelter from bombardment.
