FORECAST High winds Friday, heavy snow this weekend

Minnesota's Weather Authority has issued a Forecast First Alert from Saturday afternoon through Sunday due to heavy and blowing snowfall. A high wind warning remains in effect until 10 a.m. This weekend, heavy snow is expected to fall across much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin, with 6-12 inches expected. Strong winds during this snowfall may cause dangerous driving conditions. Cold weather is set to arrive next week, with temperatures expected to remain in the 20s before a midweek warmup.
