Fears for more than 1,000 Wrexham toads after reservoir is drained

The draining of a reservoir in Wrexham, North Wales, has raised concerns for the lives of over 1,000 toads. The incident occurred over the Easter weekend and has led to fears that the remaining toads may not be able to leave the site for a few weeks. Toad patrollers believe that if they had known about the situation, they could have prevented any deaths.
