Community honors 9-year-old Chester boy who died after being paralyzed from 2025 hit-and-run

Family, friends, and community members gathered to honor 9-year-old Chester boy, Ny'Leek Ellison, who died unexpectedly after being paralyzed in 2025 hit-and-run accident. The boy was described as a "hometown superhero" by many in the community and his father, Micah Ellison, described him as "the best 9 years of my life." The driver, Caleb Campbell, was arrested and later pleaded no contest to aggravated assault by vehicle and accidents involving death or injury while not-licensed. Local leaders and Ellison's family are pushing for upgraded charges in the case. The case remains under investigation.
