IREX, a global pioneer in ethical AI and intelligent video analytics, has launched a major update to its FireTrack smoke and fire detection module, using its ethical AI platform to identify danger almost instantly. The module, which processes visual data in 75-105 milliseconds, is designed to be faster than traditional optical or heat-based detectors and can be applied to critical infrastructure, public institutions, energy facilities, transportation hubs, residential and commercial buildings, parks, national parks, and forests. The update does not require additional hardware and broadens FireTrack’s applicability to these areas. The updated model uses segmentation to localize hazards precisely within the scene, reducing false alarms and enabling early intervention by first responders.
