Grubhub is set to begin a three-month test program that will deliver food via drones in New Jersey, marking the first time drone technology will be used for commercial food delivery in the state. The program will be based at Wonder’s Green Brook location and will be tested to test how drone technology integrates with Grubhub's current delivery platform. Eligible customers within a 2.5-mile radius will be able to order for drone delivery at no additional cost. The service uses a fully automated delivery aircraft designed to transport goods directly to customers' homes.
