A study by Stefan Rahmstorf, a researcher at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research in Germany, has found that global warming is accelerating. The researchers, who stripped away natural influences such as El Niño weather patterns and solar activity, found that the past decade saw a 0.35 degrees Celsius increase, suggesting global warming may be accelerating. This is a significant increase from the 0.2 degrees Celsius increases recorded since 1970. The study's findings could complicate the timeline for addressing the climate crisis. The solution to this problem is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, invest in green energy technologies, and develop strategies for removing carbon from the atmosphere.
