The New C8 Chevy Corvette Grand Sport Makes a Surprise Debut at the12 Hours of Sebring

Chevy revealed the 2027 Corvette Grand Sport at the 12 Hours of Sebring IMSA race. The car will join the Stingray, Z06, E-Ray, ZR1, and ZR2 as the sixth Corvette variant for the current C8 generation. The Grand Sport's widebody stance and move the iconic red fender stripes to the rear haunches indicate its mid-engine setup. The full reveal is scheduled for later this week. Despite not being specified, Chevy has confirmed that the Grand Sport will debut a new engine and could be powered by the company's next-gen small-block V-8.
