A rarity nationwide, KFC buffet returns to Fayetteville

The return of a KFC buffet, a rare occurrence nationwide, has attracted a 14,000-member online community dedicated to tracking down the company's locations. The newly reopened buffet at the Hope Mills Road store in Fayetteville, North Carolina, joins other restaurants in Dunn, Cameron and Clinton offering the all-you-can-eat buffet seven days a week. The price is the same across the board: $12.99 for diners ages 12 to 64, $10.05 for those 65 and older, $6.09 for children ages 6 to 11 and $2.99 to children ages 2 to 5. The reopening highlights the long and significant history of KFC in the area, with the first Kentucky Fried Chicken in North Carolina opening in 1961.
