Zazie Beetz had to shoot in freezing cold water for 12-hour days for the role of Asia Reaves in the action-horror film "They Will Kill You." The hardest part of the filming was filming in fake rain, Beetz revealed. The most challenging scenes were the rain scenes, which required multiple takes due to the use of cold water and the lack of time to warm up during nighttime shoots. This was Beetz's first lead role in the film, which sees her character fight for survival against a satanic cult. Patricia Arquette praised the project for its high-energy and intense performances. Beetz also revealed that she had to take some quiet time to rest during the long days of filming.
