A powerful tornado hit Oklahoma on April 23, destroying 40 to 50 homes, damaging buildings, and forcing the closure of an Air Force base. The massive twister was caught on video by storm chasers and residents of Enid, one of the cities confirmed by the National Weather Service. No deaths have been reported, but there have been 10 to 15 injuries so far. The tornado also disrupted the Kansas City Chiefs' draft night. The Weather Channel predicts that more severe weather is expected over the next few days, including severe weather warnings in Texas, Kansas, western Missouri, western Arkansas, and possibly parts of Nebraska.
