Trump says Iran wants to end the war – but terms of a potential deal ‘aren’t good enough’

President Donald Trump has stated that Iran is ready to make a deal to end the war with the US and Israel, but he is holding back on it due to the terms of the proposed deal. In a call with NBC News, Trump stated that any agreement would require Iran to completely abandon its nuclear ambitions and that any deal must be "very solid". He also questioned whether Iran's new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is still alive.
