The county Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) has announced that some non-citizens are at risk of being ineligible for food assistance benefits, including asylees, refugees, parolees, individuals with deportation or removal, conditional entrants and victims of trafficking. Additional changes are expected to take effect on June 1, including increased work requirements for certain adults without dependents and reduced exemptions for some groups.
