5 Killed In Cottonwood County Party Bus Crash Identified

A head-on crash in Cottonwood County has killed five people, including the driver of an SUV and multiple family members on the party bus. The accident occurred shortly after 4:40 p.m. on Highway 71 at 240th Street. The victims were celebrating the birthday of 73-year-old Richard Warren Johnson. The driver of the SUV was identified as Martin Nickolas Hanson. Two more family members are fighting life-threatening injuries, while six others are receiving non-life-threatening treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
