Palmer and Alonso are close friends from their days at Manchester City and Palmer said he had known about Rogers' transfer to Chelsea before top Chelsea management. Palmer's signature goal celebration, where he crosses his arms and rubs his hands down his shoulders as if shivering, was later revealed to have copied it from Rogers.
