Kerry Sheron, the owner of Escondido's 'Trump House', has died from severe injuries following an assault outside his home on May 20. The 69-year-old Army veteran was severely beaten outside of his home, which is decorated with American flags, military insignias, and Trump memorabilia. Thomas Caleb Butler, 32, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, elder abuse, making criminal threats, and battery. The San Diego County District Attorney's Office is reviewing the case to determine if the charges will be amended. Sheron's friend, Jim Gillie, described him as an ardent supporter of free speech and a patriot who believed that everyone is entitled to their opinion free from harm.
