Christopher Jackson, the actor who played George Washington in Hamilton, forgot some of the words to the national anthem during a live broadcast for the New York Mets 2026 season opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates. His rendition quickly went viral, with Jackson finishing the song without any other issues. This incident is not the first time Jackson has made an error in the National Anthem; other notable incidents include country singer Ingrid Andress's off-key performance at the Home Run Derby in 2024, Michael Bolton's written lyrics at a playoff game in 2003, and Fergie's attempt to turn the song into a sexy lounge tune.
