Motorists travelling from Manchester to Sheffield on the A57 are warned of significant delays due to work on the bypass at Mottram Moor. The £228m A57 Link Roads project includes creating two new routes, Mottam Moor Link Road and the A19 Link Road. While the route remains open, only one lane will be used, with temporary lights controlling traffic. The work involves installing utility services and building a new plant crossing to move construction materials safely across the road. National Highways is urging drivers to allow additional time due to the delays.
