The briefing was organized by Sen. Joni Ernst, chair of the Senate Armed Services Subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities. Earlier, House Democrats called for hearings over Witkoffs' diplomatic roles and their refusal to make them available to Congress for oversight.
