Japan's K2 Pictures has revealed details for Nanako Hirose's love triangle drama, Between Two Lovers, starring Masami Nagasawa, Tasuku Emoto and Shizuka Ishibashi. The film follows a woman, husband and lover trying to live together under the same roof. This is the second feature film for the company since its launch by former Toei producer Muneyuki Kii in 2024, with the aim of creating a new funding ecosystem for Japanese animated and live-action features. The project won two awards at the development stage, including the CJ ENM and the ARRI Award at the Asian Project Market. The production is a Japan-Taiwan co-production, with Taiwanese crew members participating in the cinematography and lighting.
