The Rudd Estate, a powerful Napa Valley wine dynasty, has been purchased by luxury retailer Chanel for an undisclosed amount. The purchase expands the retailer's St. Supéry Estate Vineyards and Winery brand across the region. The estate was being run by Samantha Rudd after her winery mogul father Leslie died in 2018. The family will now focus on its restaurant business. This acquisition increases Chanel's land-holding in Napa to over 1,600 acres across four estates.
