The National Weather Service has issued a weather alert for four New Jersey counties, including Hudson, Bergen, Essex and Union, until 10 a.m. The weather service has advised motorists to slow down and use low-beam headlights to ensure their vehicle is visible to others. High-beam lights can cause glare, which can also disrupt visibility. If no designated parking area is available, deactivate all lights except the hazard flashers and evacuate the vehicle.
