Cruise ship season begins in Anchorage with Nieuw Amsterdam call; more visits scheduled through September

The 2026 cruise season officially begins with the arrival of Holland America Line's Nieuw Amsterdam, one of several vessels scheduled to visit Anchorage through late September. Passengers disembarked from the ship eager to explore Anchorage and the rest of Alaska. The Cruise Line Agencies of Alaska calendar lists the following cruise ship calls for Anchorage in 2026. Some passengers plan to spend their stops visiting local attractions, such as the Anchorage Museum.
