Fresno State softball pitcher Lauryn Carranco is enjoying a successful year, having transferred from Cal State Northridge to Fresno State. She has the lowest ERA (2.66) and opponent batting average (224) of her college career and is on track to shatter her previous career-high of 113 strikeouts. Carranko's first career no-hitter was achieved on Feb. 27 against UC San Diego. The player-coach relationship with coach Charlotte Morgan, who recruited her out of Clovis, is contributing to Carrancoon's strong performance.
