A new study by National Partnership for Women & Families (NPWF) has revealed that AI is a greater threat to women in the workplace than men. The study found that many groups of women are overrepresented in the most AI-vulnerable jobs, which are often under threat of being replaced by AI technology. While women make up just under half of the workforce, at 47 percent, they make up a significant 83 percent of workers in the 15 mostAI-vailable jobs. The report also found distinct racial biases in the AI job risk data, with white women, Latinas, and American Indian and Alaska Native women nearly double their shares of the overall workforce. The findings could prompt CEOs to address gender inequalities and unfairness in their workplaces.
