Lake Erie College (LEC) has made its first NCAA tournament as a Division II program, having been an at-large selection to the field. The team, which is ranked 23-8 and the runner-up in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, is the No. 6 seed in the Midwest Region. This is only the second time in program history that the Storm has made an NCAA appearance. Their first-round NCAA match will be against Michigan Tech, the third seed in D-III, at noon March 14 at Walsh University. The winner of the Midwest Regional will then face Walsh University, the site of all games played in the eight-team Midwest Regional.
