The burglary of late NASCAR driver Greg Biffle's home in North Carolina is being investigated as a possible inside job after it was discovered just hours after he and his family died in a plane crash. The home was broken into on Jan. 7 into Jan. 8, two weeks after the family was killed. The suspect accessed a safe and took $30,000 in cash, two handguns, NASCAR memorabilia and a backpack. New search warrants have revealed that a woman known to the family is linked to both the break-in and earlier suspicious activity. The family's email and banking accounts were also targeted shortly after the crash, with authorities alleging that hundreds of thousands of dollars were stolen through a series of fraudulent transactions. No suspects have been identified or charged in the case.
