The Ohio state's daytime burn ban continues until May 31, with opening burning prohibited during March, April, May, October and November between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., even if someone is using a proper burn barrel. The ban covers yard waste, trash, and debris. The Ohio EPA also enforces a separate set of rules regarding burning, which apply regardless of the time it is legal. Additional restrictions include not burning during an air pollution alert, warning, or emergency.
