Mother of 16 ‘almost feral’ kids in Ohio house of horrors makes twisted request through her lawyer

Elizabeth Siders, the mother of 16 children found living in squalor and isolation inside a feces-filled house in Ohio, is fighting to be reunited with her children. Her lawyer, J. Thomas Stolly, has requested a $300,000 bond allowing her to leave the jail under certain conditions, arguing that her lack of criminal history should make her eligible for time away from Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail. The children, ages 1-18, were mostly confined to the cramped space at their home for at least four years. The oldest child, 18, is developmentally disabled and cannot write her name.
