Cannabidiol (CBD) is widely recognized for its beneficial effects on dogs, including anxiety and pain from inflammation and degenerative diseases. The CBD dog treats, created by Kurt Kinneman, are a staple in his home for surgery recovery and beyond. The Doggie Dreams Serenity Chews feature ingredients such as peanut butter, oats, oat bran, flax meal, eggs, honey and coconut oil, plus CBD oil made from hemp grown on Kinneman's family farm in Wisconsin. Despite some anecdotal benefits, researchers have found that CBD can help some dogs with symptoms of anxiety or pain. Dr. Steph McGrath, a veterinary neurologist and associate professor at Colorado State University, said that dogs see benefits from CBD, but others may not be affected by it.
