Ohio company, Stoney Games, is recalling a tabletop magnet game imported by an unnamed company that could pose a potentially life-threatening hazard to children. The recall involves Kluster Fun Tabletop Magnet Chess Games, which contain loose high-powered magnets that violate the federal mandatory safety standard for toys. About 151,600 units were sold across the U.S. between October 2018 and September of last year at independent game stores and online retailers. The small magnets included in the game can pose a serious ingestion hazard if swallowed, potentially leading to intestinal perforations, twisting, blockages, blood poisoning or death. No injuries or incidents related to the product have been reported.
