European low-cost airline, Ryanair Holdings PLC (NASDAQ:RYAAY), responded to Apple CEO Tim Cook's statement that users should spend less time on their screens and instead spend time interacting with others. Ryanair's official X handle posted a tongue-in-cheek post on social media, "no Wi-Fi, no doomscrolling." This move reframes the lack of onboard connectivity as a feature rather than a drawback. Despite this, RyanAir CEO Michael O’Leary has not ruled out internet access in the long-term, predicting most airlines will eventually offer Wi-FI on short-haul flights in January 2026.
