EA is introducing major changes to The Sims 4, including a new virtual currency and a new'maker' program. The Maker Program will be open to applications starting March 5th and will offer a "Maker Suite" to ensure content made by creators works well when it is actually in the game. The marketplace will launch on PC and Mac on March 17th, with PlayStation and Xbox coming in the next few months. Makers will be able to list their creations as "Maker Packs" and earn about 30 percent of the Moola from any sales. The game, which went free to play in 2022, remains a major series for EA, alongside other key franchises with large online communities.
