At least 10 injured, homes destroyed after tornadoes hit northern Oklahoma: What we know

At least 10 people were injured and several homes and structures destroyed in northern Oklahoma as tornadoes moved across northern Oklahoma on Thursday evening. Search and rescue efforts were conducted in Garfield County after a tornado caused significant damage, particularly to the Gray Ridge neighborhood and Vance Air Force Base. The city of Enid, which has been leveled, said it may not be until Friday to know the extent of the damage. Enid Mayor David Mason said some residents have been rescued from impacted areas. The Garfield County emergency manager reported that at least 10 were injured, with minor injuries. No fatalities were reported as of 4 a.m. Friday morning. No injuries were reported in the areas of Braman and Newkirk following a tornado on Thursday afternoon. The tornado in Kay County near Braman Newkir resulted in one home being destroyed and one barn being destroyed.
