NeeDoh trend takes over TikTok and Twin Cities, sells out at toy stores

NeeDoh, a squishy toy made by Massachusetts toy maker Schylling, has become a must-have toy in the Twin Cities, selling out within hours of its arrival. Hundreds have rushed to toy stores for shipments, leading to long lines at local stores that quickly sell out of the product. Abigail Adelsheim-Marshall, co-owner of Mischief Toys in St. Paul, said the demand is astronomical and Schyelling is eight or 10 weeks behind on shipping. The surge in popularity is reminiscent of how people chased down Beanie Babies in the 1990s. Despite this, retailers have had to limit the number of NeeDOHs patrons can buy.
