Rain Chances Return as Drought Persists Across Area

The weather models are predicting a slightly wetter pattern for late this week and weekend, with scattered showers and thunderstorms expected to occur. This is good news as extreme to exceptional drought conditions continue across the area. Areas of patchy to dense fog are expected for inland areas from Wednesday through Sunday. The onshore wind and waves will remain a moderate risk for Rip Currents on beaches. The rain chances will increase late Sunday through Monday, with the GFS showing potential for up to an inch of rain along our beaches.
