Trump 'optimistic' about Iran peace deal even as ceasefire appears strained

The United Arab Emirates’ industry minister, Sultan Ahmed Al-Jaber, has criticised the status quo around the Strait of Hormuz, stating that access to the strait is being restricted, conditioned and controlled. He warned that the war would resume unless Tehran reneged on its promise to reopen the Strait. The White House has praised the two-week ceasefire as a "victory" for the U.S. and has assured that the president is assured that it will be open, despite reports of a largely closed strait being largely closed. Meanwhile, Iran's envoy to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, announced that the regime's delegation would arrive in Pakistan on the invitation of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
