Dr. Henry C. Lee, a renowned forensic scientist who worked on some of the most closely watched criminal cases in U.S. history, has died at 87 after a brief illness at his home in Henderson, Nevada. His work at the University of New Haven, where he was a professor, included the O.J. Simpson murder trial and the JonBenét Ramsey investigation. Lee was known for his work on crime-scene evidence during the Simpson trial and other high-profile cases. He testified over 1,000 times in criminal and civil courts in the U., and abroad, serving as a forensic expert in all 50 states and over 46 countries. Alongside his academic work, Lee held senior law‑enforcement roles in Connecticut for over two decades.
