Steve Kerr, former Golden State Warriors coach and Mallorca co-owner, Andy Kohlberg, NBA star Steve Nash, and former United States soccer international Stu Holden have been part-owners of Spanish soccer team RCD Mallorcan for 10 years. Despite initially being asked to coach the LaLiga club, Kerr chose the opportunity to join friends at a top division team and live in a beautiful island. The ownership group initially considered clubs in the England's second-tier Championship, but chose Mallorcas as a unique opportunity due to its population of 1 million and 16 million annual visitors. Despite setbacks and promotions, the ownership group has been successful in the past decade.
