Nearly 9,900 Remote Gig Workers To Be Laid Off By Minneapolis Company

A Minneapolis-based staffing marketplace, Ideal US Talent Worker OpCo, plans to permanently lay off nearly 9,900 remote employees, including 23 in the state. The company cited business restructuring and the transfer of its contracts to a third-party partner for the decision. The affected workers are not represented by a union and do not have a single site of employment.
